Waving!

My hectic, tightly-scheduled routine, the one that involves dropping the kids off at school, dashing home, checking my emails, making a coffee, checking my emails, catching up on everyone’s blogs, writing my blog, thinking about writing something more substantial, checking my emails, having another coffee, more catching up on blogs, checking my emails etc., has gone out of the window with it being the summer holidays.

Instead, I’m taking a well-earned rest.

We did go to see Kung-Fu Panda last week which I can’t really recommend unless you love pandas, kung-fu or you’re under the age of 10. If you can tick all three boxes, you’ll love it!

I have been doing a lot of thinking though. And thinking is good. Slowly, the characters and plot for the second novel are coming together. I’ve had some corkers of ideas, normally in the middle of the night, but they haven’t seemed quite so cracking in the morning. But there is one idea that’s becoming increasingly persistent, so come September I’ll be exploring that one a bit further.

Impulse buy of the week is a pair of these

Apparently, they “improve muscle tone, burn calories, strengthen and tone muscles in the feet, legs, buttocks and stomach” to name just a few of their many benefits. They even come with a warning label that says, “has the potential to increase muscle activity in terms of duration and workload. We recommend that the fitflop be used progressively to avoid excessive muscle soreness.”

I am nothing if not sensible in my fitness regime, so I’m wearing my new purchase while keeping my feet up as I watch Emmerdale. I really don’t want to overdo it.

Watch this space or the space occupied by my legs, buttocks and stomach. Things will definitely get better!

Glad the new novel is coming along spiffingly. The exercise regime sounds exhausting. Make sure you don't overdo it :-)

I've never heard of those shoes! Must take a closer look. Good luck with the thinking, remember the meditating is just as important as the writing!

I've heard about those shoes. Definitely let us know if they work!

I wonder if it's the time of year for dreaming up new novels? Seem that a few of us are at that stage at the moment (my favourite stage of the novel 'writing' process!)

Ooh, I was looking at FitFlops in the Sweaty Betty catalogue on Monday... do let us now how you get on with them. I highly recommend Emmerdale - best to go into these shoe-related fitness regimes gently eh?

Sounds as if all thinking is playing off. I wonder if they do special that make us have Better Thoughts?

I definitely need a pair of those sandals. Let us know how you get on with them.

Enjoy the summer!

Wearing something with micro-wobbleboard technology (yes I read all about the shoes) is sure to give the power of thought.

Enjoy getting to know your new characters!

I have to get me some fit-flops! Although the words fit and flop in close proximity probably describe my fitness regime perfectly.

I wonder if they work whilst I'm sitting at a laptop and not walking. Nope, didn't think so.

Glad that the novel is coming along so well. I love that part.

I just got myself a new part time job where I never stop for 4 to 5 hours and all done on my feet. For the first time in years I am exercising my fat off and getting paid for it! I can't believe it and feel fitter than I've done for years. Hope the shoes work for you - I had to invest in a pair of crocs - very chav like but my God at least I can walk at the end of it all unlike two weeks ago when I thought I was crippled!

Your novel stuff sounds good. I have a character in mine who is soooo bad and nasty that he pervades a geat deal of my thought process. I can't wait to see what he does ne3xt!

I'm very tempted to get some FitFlops, but the weather is too horrid to wear them. That's my excuse anyway!

Enjoy your thinking time :o)
