What do Helen Mirren, Womagwriter and I share in common? Ha ha, we all appear in the latest issue of My Weekly. Okay, some of us more prominently than others, but hey, even so!
Lovely to receive my contributor's copy today and great to be alongside a fellow blogger.
I reckon that has to be worth 78p of anyone's money!

It's lovely to share magazine space with you, Maddie! I'll raise my glass to many more.
Hi Maddie
I'm new to writing fiction (well submitting anyway) and new to blogging - so I thought I'd introduce myself. I found your great blog through Womagwriter's blog. Congrats on your latest story - I think I've worked out which one is yours. If it's the one on page 57 - it's a brilliant story. You have a great turn on phrase. Hope to one day join you in print!
Great story, Maddie.
I wish I could write in first person present like that; I have tried but mine always sound so stilted.
Thanks again, everyone! You are such a lovely bunch.
Annie - Thanks for your lovely comments. I'll look forward to receiving some of your stories in the mags soon!
Pat - Thanks! Must admit I prefer writing in the first person, although not all mags are keen on it.
Well done, Maddie. A lovely story.
Thanks, Tam!
