TGI's Friday!

My dreary, drudgy week only got worse, I'm afraid.

On Tuesday morning, on the school run, I had a car accident involving two other cars. Thankfully and miraculously, no-one was hurt, but oh my goodness, it was pretty scary and only this afternoon have I stopped wobbling. I had my two kids with me, there was a taxi driver involved and a school minibus with three kids inside. Just cannot get out of my head all those horrid 'what might have been' thoughts. Shivers!

For this reason, I'm looking forward to a dreary and drudgy weekend with no moments of high drama!

On a brighter note, and something that's gone a little way to make me feeling better, I had a sale today to a Swedish magazine (it's rapidly becoming my favourite magazine in the whole wide world). However, if there are any other editors out there, willing to whisper sweet-nothings in my ear, such as 'we'd like to buy your story,' I could be easily swayed....

Wishing you all a peaceful and drama-free weekend.

That's so scary - I know exactly how it feels having experienced something similar a few years ago. Put me off driving for a while. Hope you have a peaceful weekend and congrats on the sale :o)

Thank goodness no one was hurt. I'm not surprised you shook for a few days - what an awful experience.

Well done on the sale!

Oh nasty! The after effects of something like that are horrible. Hope you have a calm weekend.

And huge congrats on your Swedish sale!! Well done!

Car accidents really do knock us for six - it's so horrible, especially when tiddlies are involved.

Glad the Swedish sale has cheered you up a little bit - have a really brilliantly relaxing weekend. Nurse Jenny recommends lots of lavender and a wee drop of the red falling over water.

SO glad you are all ok. Poor you, must have been very frightening indeed.
Congrats on the sale - they certainly love you, eh? More power to your pen, my dear :-)

Thanks, Yvonne and Honeysuckle. Feeling a bit better now.

Karen - Must admit it's put me off driving too and I'm very nervy behind the wheel at the moment which isn't good!

Thanks Womagwriter. I still can't believe we all got away without a scratch.

Lane - Thanks. I am indeed enjoying a nice, quiet weekend.

Thanks Jen. I'm not sure I have any lavender, but might be able to find a bottle or two of the other stuff!

Thanks, Tam. I know, two sales to them in the space of two weeks is unheard of. Not that I'm complaining.

Many thanks Penny. It is amazing, the recuperative effect of a sale!
